We Need Your Help to Change Current Regulations for the Enforcement of Debts (CCJs) Under £600
April 29, 2021
Category: News
Enforcing County Court Judgments (CCJs) below £600 is currently only conducted by County Court Bailiffs – a service which often results in prolonged and poor results.
The pandemic has additionally created a huge backlog for these debts, causing a major issue for court users who are owed this money.
We believe the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) should change the current regulations to allow High Court Enforcement Officers to collect these debts and tackle the backlog, as well as provide greater freedom for our clients to choose between County Court Bailiffs and High Court Enforcement Officers for enforcement.
We are working with the High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA) and its members to persuade the MoJ that reform is essential and would like to gather feedback from our clients to demonstrate the scale of the concern and importance of this issue.
We would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete the HCEOA’s ‘Case for Change’ survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Z5TM6C2
The opportunity to provide feedback closes on Monday 31st May 2021.
Thank you for your time and support.
If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact the team on 0161 925 1800.
